New York singer-songwriter Andrea Wittgens has been holding audiences in rapture throughout North America combining sultry, engaging vocals (Rickie Lee Jones meets Norah Jones) with clever yet disarmingly honest lyrics. Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, she moved to Seattle in the late 90s and stirred up a wave of notice with her band Sugartown. In 2006, her first solo album Alibi (produced by Grammy Award winning Bob Power) garnered rave reviews in both the northwest and New York City where she was gaining notable industry buzz. Her adventurous follow up album In The Skyline runs intimate string quartet textures into raucous band arrangements and even includes her first original French song. Moreover, it marks Andrea Wittgens as a singer-songwriter of the highest order.
