Gas Station Robber is Chris Holbrook and Craig Conard. Craig and Chris met in Los Angeles after being introduced by mutual friends. With all recording and engineering done by Craig Conard, they both write and produce their tracks. Their music has often been compared to Snow Patrol, The Notwist and The Postal Service. While their music embodies elements from these bands they maintain their own very distinct sound. Gas Station Robber recently performed at the 2009 Virginia Festival of the Book with Boyd Tinsley of Dave Matthews Band and Pulitzer Prize winning poet Rita Dove. Their music has been featured twice on MTV's Real World Brooklyn. The song Dreams Are Dead became a fan favorite after being the focal point during the second to last episode of the season.
