With the ocean as a backdrop and the sun as a soundboard, Sunshine Coast 5­piece Selahphonic offer a unique brand of electronic infused indie pop. Their four­-on­-the­-floor beats celebrate analog synths and chimey lead guitar hooks, sending audiences across Australia into a neon mosh ecstasy. Since greeting the industry only eighteen months ago, 2015 saw Selahphonic tour Australia’s East Coast to warm receptions, also crossing the Pacific Ocean for the third time more... in their short lifespan for a US Tour and stop offs at Canadian Music Week, New York’s College Music Week (CMJ) and Culture Collide (LA) ​where their live show received high praise from critics and industry figures alike. The band also getting opportunity to perform alongside North East Party House, Pierce Brothers, Harts and many others. Back home they are continuing to build a loyal fan base after a successful second East Coast tour in September 2015 and a much anticipated second E.P being released early 2016. With their first single of the in 2015, Heartbreak Heartbreak, gaining high rotation on Channel V and their first release of 2016 ‘Ghosts of 1999’ receiving rotation on Triple J unearthed and gaining great traction in local and international blogs, the next year will see this band become one worth keeping an eye on.
