About The Boy Illinois:
Many have tried to compare him to other rappers, but The Boy Illinois (Illi) is in a league of his own. With honest, heartfelt lyrics coupled with hard hitting beats from in-house production duo, The Baron Boys, who’ve produced for the likes of Drake, Nipsey Hussle and more; the young lyricist/songwriter plans to follow in the footsteps of Chicago artists before him, while carving out his own place in music history.
Leaving college to pursue music full-time, Illi first made noise in 2008, releasing his first solo project Inhale Part 1: State Representative, and also released a music video for his single, One Love. A year later in August 2009, he released his second mixtape, the critically acclaimed Inhale Part 2: Loyalty Before the Love, on which he showed amazing lyrical growth and overall progression as an artist. Now with the release of his third mixtape Inhale Part 3: Afterschool Program, The Boy Illinois stands poised, yet patient, and is ready to solidify himself as a musical force in hip hop.

Mr. Robotic Talks Beats and Brands
Music Dealers artist Mr. Robotic, met with ASCAP recently for an interview covering his licensing experiences and everything else music. It's a great read for all music fans and artists. He even gives a shout out to Music Dealers!
"My friends The Cool Kids had a placement in Entourage two years ago. I never knew you got paid for that, but it was just like “Wow, I want a song in TV!” It just looked cool to me. Then I met the Vice President of a company called Music Dealers at a party, and my friend told me I should talk to him. So I talked to him, and he hit me up the next day saying he heard a lot about me, and I should log into their system. So I did that, and they got me a placement literally a month later. My song called “Hit the Dance Floor” was on a show called The Beautiful Life on the CW. After that, everybody was hitting me up on Twitter about it, saying “Oh my god, I just heard your song,” etc. etc."

We're happy to announce the release of Colors May Change, a brand new album from Los Angeles singer/songwriter and Music Dealer's artist Erick Macek. We just listened through the album and we love it. Thoughtful songwriting and hum-worthy melodies allow for an ejoyable album from start to finish. A perfect album for these final days of summer. We're happy to note that Music Dealers artist LoBounce was recently selected to appear on TheUntz.com's 2011 Digital Music Sampler. LoBounce is in good company with the likes of Bassnectar, Thievery Corporation, Future Rock and FreQ Nasty. We're not going to lie, the LoBounce track is our favorite one on there! Ha!
