Music Dealers Artist Tips: Get Paid Quicker 379 words · 2 minute read

When we place your music, we want to make sure you see the money your music earned you, from both Music Dealers (front end sync payments) and performing rights organizations (royalties). There are a few things you can do to ensure you get paid properly.

Enter your PayPal account in your payment information. With PayPal we can pay you faster and more securely than with a check, and we will cover all transaction fees. If you do not have a PayPal account, it only takes a few moments to create one here: PayPal link

Update Your Profile

No matter your payment preference, it is also crucial that you keep us updated on your current contact and payment information. Log in to your account and click Edit Profile to update any email addresses, payment names or mailing address. This is very important information to keep updated so we know where to send payments and other correspondence.

Submit your W-9

In order for us to pay any artist, we must first have their correct tax information. You are now able to upload your W-9 through your Edit Profile page. Having this uploaded will help you get paid faster.

Enter your PRO information

If you are signed up with a PRO, be sure to include your writer, publisher and PRO info in the song details. This way we can report the correct information to clients who turn in cue sheets. This includes your CAE/IPI number. Having this number in our system adds verification.

  • The IPI/CAE number is a 9-digit international ID# assigned to songwriters and publishers to uniquely identify rights holders. This is a separate number from your society account/member number. Please contact your society’s Member Service department if you do not know what your number is.

If you are not signed up with a PRO, we urge you to look into doing so with a PRO in your territory. You could be missing out on a lot of performance royalties if you are not registered. You can find a list of worldwide PROs here:

When we have all of this information, it makes the payment process faster and smoother, meaning you get paid quickly and accurately. If you have any questions, feel free to hit us up at
