Finally, the music festival you’ve all been waiting for, Lollapalooza, descends upon the city of Chicago for three days of incredible music, mayhem, sore feet, and expensive beer. One of the great perks of being a fine music institution such as Music Dealers is watching our artists, The Great Unsigned, blossom before us as they grow their audiences and are invited to perform at larger and larger events.
And of course, for four Music Dealers artists performing at this year’s Lollapalooza, such is the case. We’re extremely proud to have one current member and three alumni taking to the stages at Lolla this year to entertain the hell out of the tens of thousands of fans. Their presense at a festival like Lollapalooza is the manifestation of why we do what we do; help artists all over the globe build careers and thrive. Who’s perfoming at Lolla this year? Check it out:
“The Great Unsigned” Performing At Lollapalooza 2014:
MD.com Artist: HeRobust
Electronic producer HeRobust was touring with Gramatik and Pretty Lights at the end of 2013. His tracks have been used by the likes of Skrillex and Bassnectar. HeRobust will be in Chicago for a set at Lollapalooza on Friday, August 1, and you can find him a week later performing at the Squamish Valley Music Festival.
MD Alumni: Krewella
This Chicago electronic dance music trio has a packed summer schedule playing all over the world, from London, to Sweden, Las Vegas, back to Europe and eventually landing on the Lollapalooza stage on Aug. 2.
MD Alumni: Into It. Over It.
Evan Weiss’ solo project, “Into it. Over it.”, will be supporting Owl Bands, and then Minerals throughout much of the summer. Weiss will be playing Summerfest in July, Lollapalooza in August, and will then take the stage with influential indie rock band, American Football, at their reunion show in New York this October.
MD Alumni: Bronze Radio Return
This American indie roots/rock sextet will be playing at two of this summer’s festivals, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. Bronze Radio Return can be heard in a number of tv spots and tv shows, but like lead singer and guitarist Chris Henderson puts it, “we are first and foremost a live band,” so be sure to check them out this summer.
