    For their “Beautifully Powerful” spot, in which a young woman vigorously slams each pitch that is thrown her way, Louisville Slugger and agency MEPlusYOU selected “VC Commander” by Music Dealers artist K Theory to propel the video’s energy.

    The hypnotic beat of the EDM song pulses beside the timely crack of softballs against the baseball bat as a woman’s voice loops in the background like a spell. For “VC Commander,” K Theory blended wavy notes with ascending tones in a way that matched the momentum of the commercial seamlessly, making the song a grand slam of a sync for Louisville Slugger.

    In the fall of 2013, The Coca-Cola Company prepared for its “Share a Coke” global campaign for Summer 2014, a comprehensive project that included two ambitious goals: the worldwide use of its “Share a Coke with Bobby” spot and the launch of a new idea, “Say It With A Song.” As the brand’s global music partner, Coca-Cola tasked Music Dealers with the execution of both projects.

    Client Success Story: Durex "Real Feel"

    For one of our “steamier” collaborations, reputed production agency, MOFILM, engaged Music Dealers to provide the perfect soundtrack for Durex’s advert, “Real Feel.” In need of something as exciting as the “product” itself, the Music Dealers creative team plucked from their catalog an elctro pop gem from UK-based pop duo, Pistol Shrimp. The song, a shimmering array of pulsing electronic tones, nicely captured the “sentiment” of the ad when the editing team isolated a saucy lyric from the song, “…just a touch, in the unknown…”.

    Merely six weeks ago, Music Dealers received a call from our dear friend and former VP of Marketing for Coca-Cola, Jonathan Mildenhall, who had recently been appointed the new CMO of Airbnb. After collaborating with Music Dealers on award-winning music campaigns during his tenure at Coke, Jonathan knew that music, a new terrain for the brand, would be an integral part of the re-brand for Airbnb.     Client Success Story: Hit The Ground Running "Eat With Me" Trailer

    Music Dealers worked with Hit The Ground Running, a music supervision company, to select a song for the trailer of “Eat With Me,” a film about a mother reconnecting with her estranged, gay son. To complement the emotional turbulence between mother and son in the trailer, Music Dealers Creative Director Tim Lincoln, opted for “Spring in Paris” by Music Dealers artist, Alex Khaskin. The spirited arrangement of the song perfectly matches the complexity of the characters’ relationship, as seen in the pairing of the orchestral dance of Khaskin’s instruments with their fumbling attempts to connect with each other.     The spot below represented one of those opportunities. Victoria Secret tapped biz dev director Adam Norcott out in the New York office to help source music and define the sound of the PINK brand. Adam collaborated with Music Dealers creative director Jessie LaBelle, who examined the catalog in search of on-brand songs and artists, eventually discovering the perfect track. We sent over The Foundry Lab’s “Tongue Tied,” an indie pop/rock track defined by bold drums and a confident swagger, which translated very well to the spot. Another happy brand and another happy artist, which makes a happy Music Dealers.

Mike Marino came through with the track and added some whistles based on the client needs.  The Los Angeles All City Marching Band supplied a few members from their band to play the piece and appear in the commercial. The commercial came out great and supports an amazing cause.

Overweight youth are at greater risk for numerous health consequences, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and other chronic diseases. In order to reverse the trend of childhood obesity in this country, it is crucial that parents have the information they need to help them teach children the importance of healthy eating and being physically active.

    The Ad Council needed an upbeat latin song that would be easy to dance to.  After we pitched them a few options, they went with a song called “Bueno” by Zyme.  In the video, the track got the dad and daughter dancing and enjoying life - after all, that is what life is all about, right?

    Last month, Sour Punch presented this crazy DJ battle at the University of Illinois: Sour Punch LiveWire. The prize: the winning student DJ gets to play a Spring Break party in Panama City at Spinnaker’s on the main stage! The DJ host for the event was our artist KRNFX (the beatbox champ) and we’ll probably hit him up for some of those tight light-up glasses. We’d look pretty awesome wearing them around the office. Just sayin.

    If you missed the party, this video will make you feel like you were there. The event recap video features the track, “Twisted” by our artists Standard Procedure and was a perfect choice for a dubstep-y good time.     What Our Client Requested: For the Mayweather-Cotto edition of the HBO Sports pre-fight series “24⁄7” our client needed a variety of music styles, from cinematic and epic scores, to hip hop and latin-flavored rhythms. Specifically, we were informed that there were two production teams working on this project - Team Mayweather, and Team Cotto. More music, Team Mayweather needed minimal and cinematic hip hop beats while Team Cotto wanted songs with a Latin beat and flavor.

    What Our Client Requested: Our client came to us looking for a summer jam that would speak to a female demographic for a new line of frozen drinks. The song needed to be reminiscent of good times, while evoking the fun feeling of being outdoors on a summer day. Some references that were given to us for inspiration included Jack Johnston, Michael Franti and Ben Harper tracks; in other words the client wanted a cool track with hints of folk, rock and reggae.

The playlist had a mix of electronic instrumentals that leaned heavily in the dubstep genre.

This commercial displays the different type of beers that Blue Moon offers so it had to reflect versatility to represent multiple seasons and changes.     What Our Client Requested: Our client was looking for something in the world of rock, indie pop, punk or dance. The commercial starred Drew Barrymore and was on the sexy side of things. A lot of genres to cover there so we agreed that we need something with “spunk”. Lyrics were preferred and just had to make sense with the video. No clear direction on that but it left us a lot of room to be creative in our pitching decisions.
