“Vacation Day”

For better or worse, gone are the days where a scheduled maintenance visit means taking an entire day off work, according to Time Warner Cable in its new TV ad, “Vacation Day.” Developed by marketing company PureGrowth, the spot playfully comments on the inconvenience of maintenance visits with all-day windows of availability. To heighten that humorous tone, PureGrowth Executive Creative Producer Candice Vernon selected a song by Jim Cooper to score the spot: “’50 TV Theme Ad Cue,” a 1950’s-inspired, cheerful melody with strings and piccolo.
